Coming to the Visa interview, the officer asked only 4 questions
Q 1 Purpose of the visit.
A1 I informed the officer of the purpose of the visit along with the objectives of those meetings. Provided an elaborate response
Q2 How long have you worked in your current organisation.
5yrs
Q3 How much do you make annually.
XX lacs per annum
Q4 Who is paying for the trip.
My organisation will bear the expenses
And the golden words, your Visa is approved.
From what all i had researched, Here are the things that may work
Provide an elaborate response when possible, officers are looking for information and they may not want to draw that out from you. Help your case by providing the necessary details that solidify your case. If you say the purpose of visit – tourist That does not really helps in my opinion. Although it may do for some people.
Dress formally. I was the only person wearing a tie.
Since you are standing, your body language is important. Slouching over the desk isn’t the best option IMO. So practice your answers but dont memorize them. Make sure you are able to demonstrate ties to your country.
Things that were not in my favour
1.No past international travel history
2.Single/28M
3.No investments in real estate.
4.Parents H1B visa rejection in past.
